I fell off the horse… big time

Yes I confess, I confess! I did fall off the horse, the horse ran away and I never caught up with him…. so, change of strategy.

A few weeks ago, Joseph saw this great program called P90X© and you know what happens when you hear something that  you become interested in? You start to hear about it EVERYWHERE, next thing I know, one of my Facebook friends was talking about it, so what did I do? I contacted him and asked if it was as good as I had heard it was. That was about three weeks ago. Today, I got the program in the mail, with a meal plan and everything I need to be supported into getting back in shape. Plus they have a kick-butt website where you are accountable for your workouts. These guys are serious I tell you.

I have heard things from: “That program is awesome!” to “That program scares me.” What most people don’t know about me, is that I am not one to scare easily, heck, I jumped out of a plane with a parachute a few years ago and also rode in a race car, I also (to the delight of my husband) LOVE roller coasters, yes I am a bit of a thrill seeker and as such, this program fulfills that adventurous part of me.

On the other hand, this program also scares me a tad bit. I have now taken the dreadful before pictures as well as my measurements (yikes!) To actually see where I’m at was scary, not only that but did I mention that these guys are NOT joking? Well I’m serious they are NOT joking! I looked worried today and Joseph asked me what was going on, “I am afraid of quitting” I said, but he knows how competitive I am and told me I could compete against him, but I want to compete WITH him, I’ll compete against someone else, not him. This is for our health and for my beautiful little girl who depends on us being around for a long, long time.

I have 90 days to get back in shape. More to come then.
