Eat to Lose Weight

Most of us have the wrong idea about what to eat to lose weight. We have been “fed” by the food industry with the idea that we should eat non-fat and low-fat foods to lose weight, only to discover that those foods leave us unsatisfied and are chemical bombs in our bodies.

Artificial sweeteners have become more and more a common ingredient in our diets. Aspartame was first discovered in 1965.  In 2004, 2,225 new products with artificial sweeteners were introduced into the market, so I will dare to say that there is big money to be made in the non-fat, low-fat, sugar-free food industry. Is it healthy though? Can we trust our health to the food industry? As the years have gone by, we have become fatter and sicker. Children are now being diagnosed with conditions that used to be diagnosed in adults only. Heart disease, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes (formerly known as ‘adult onset diabetes’) are now conditions that pediatricians are starting to stumble upon in more children.

Here’s the truth about weight loss and it may be shocking to you: You don’t have to diet to lose weight.  No sacrificing, no eating “weird” foods, no non-fat or low-fat products that over processed with chemicals. The problem today is that we have been more concerned about being “thin” and not being healthy.
