I have 14 more days for my first 45 day pictures. I can’t help but be amazed at how much stronger I feel. Four months ago, you couldn’t ask me to do 10 push ups, not even 5 and today, I can do several sets of push ups.
What I love the most is going through my closet and trying on clothes that didn’t fit 4 months ago. It really feels great! It’s almost as if I’m getting new clothes, but they really aren’t new. My suits now fit me. Clothes that I had given up on and every time I try something on and it fits, my daughter and I do a little celebration dance together.
I have to say that one of my favorite things now that my daughter is 3 is to hear her say “balança” with a perfect Portuguese accent, which is one of the moves that we learn in RevAbs. I love the fact that she sees my hubby and I working out and she wants to do it too. I also love to think that our approach to fitness will be much healthier than the one that I grew up with. All the women in my family were always yo-yo dieting. I honestly don’t ever want my daughter to learn any of those unhealthy habits.
I also love the RevAbs anthem, I like how Brett Hoebel talks about what it takes “I’m strong, committed and ready to go” says part of the anthem. It takes commitment to change our bodies and it takes a level of strength and determination. It hasn’t been difficult for me to find the determination, inspiration and motivation… all I have to do is look at my little girl and feel inspired to do something about my health and fitness so I have more energy to play with her and so I can be in her life for as long as possible. I can’t predict the future, but if I have a say in how my health will be, well then, I will do something to ensure that I am around for as long as possible.
If you can’t find something to be inspired about, look at the people who love you. If that’s not enough, then look at yourself in the mirror and find the inspiration within you to be strong, fit, healthy. I promise you that you will never regret getting in shape.
