It's impossible for you to be bulky. It doesn't work that way. I lift very heavy (about 60 Lbs. on some exercises and 170 Lbs. on my legs) I am not bulky. Trust me, it takes a lot of effort and a very different diet to be bulky. You will not go from heavy or out of shape to bulky. You have to do weights to be able to build muscle so that you don't end up being a skinny fat person with a lot of flabby skin.

As far as meals, cut all sugar and lower your salt consumption. Try eating every 3 hours if at all possible. I only have 1 or 2 servings of fruit per day and eat a lot of vegetables. Make sure you get plenty of protein (have protein for 4 of your 5 or 6 meals). If you're going to have a salad, have it with some chicken. Don't starve yourself! That's the WORST thing you can do to lose weight. Eat a balanced, healthy meal.

This is what my lunch looks like for example: 6 oz chicken (baked or boiled in water with no salt, just some herbs and Mrs. Dash). 2 cups spinach with 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or apple cider vinegar ( the vinegar is really good for you), 1/2 a cup of brown rice (measured cooked). As you see, my lunch is pretty big. For a snack I'll eat 1 cup of plain non fat Greek yogurt with 1/2 cup berries and a drizzle of honey.

The secret to a good diet is eating natural, non-processed, foods (stay away from TV dinners, or anything that is prepared ready for you to just heat and serve). The more you have to prepare the meal, the better it is for you. I hope this helps... it's a lifestyle for sure but you'll be happy with the results.

I am currently 17 Years Old and I am a senior in high school.. I weigh about 174 Pounds and my height is 6'1. . I do not appear to be a fat person, but when my shirt is off I look like I am overweight with a lot of weight near my breasts, stomach tires, and butt.. . I would mostly like to focus on those areas, and once I look like a normal skinny person I would like to move on and build muscle. I know building muscle burns fat, but I do not want to be a big bulky person, I would rather be a lean person.. . I would like to lose at least 16 Pounds by May. Once I lose those 16 Pounds I can head to the gym and begin lifting weights.. . I currently have an elliptical at my house, and I am determined to use it everyday if need be.. . I would greatly appreciate it if someone could give me a nice and easy meal plan, but on school days I am limited to eating a salad. My mother is not a very good cook, the only things I can eat that she makes are healthy skinned chicken breast, or chicken noodle soup.. . What meal plan should I follow?. . How Long should I follow it?. . How long and How many times a week should I use my elliptical? And what resistance/cross ramp should I use?. . What fruits/vegetables should I eat?. I like grapes, apples, and bananas for fruits. I like lettuce, celery, and onions for vegetables. . Can I lose 16 or more pounds within two months this way? I am willing to do anything or any diet/workout regime to make sure I reach this goal.. . Thank you in advance for help. I will begin following the best plan starting tomorrow.. . PS. I have been using the elliptical for the past 9 days in a row and I did about 1000 Calories. (1 hour 30 min) per day. My parents said that is too much and it takes up too much time. Should I increase or cut down?.
