Thanks Mary, I know you and I have exchanged emails about this on several occasions. We eat organic foods at home. It helps that we live in the country where organic foods are abundant. I appreciate the contribution, however, I am on a very structured nutritional meal program where I need the protein from meats to reach my fitness goals. It's a personal choice for sure. Keep up the good work and if you ever want to explore any of the fun, great fitness DVD's that Beachbody offers, let me know :)

Congratulations Veronica,

Thank you for sharing your journey...so inspiring! Michael and I have been Raw Foodists off and on since 2003, we were introduced to this by a fellow coursework party participant in our Wisdom Course. Kardena Pauza, a fitness trainer had found this diet most helpful for herself and her clients..www.kardenaskitchen.com At some point you may wish to explore the possibility of eating organic, ripe, high enzymatic natural foods in a variety of delicious ways. We start each morning with a green smoothie: 2 bananas, 1 cup blueberries (or other fruit), almond yogurt(homemade), hemp or whey protein powder, one cup greens (mixture of spinach, lettuce, kale, swiss chard, arugula), 3 cups filtered water, dash cinnamon, powdered amino acids - blended! Sometimes we add powered cacao or maca or soaked dates...yum! Serves 2. There are many, many websites with amazing info. on the Raw Food Lifestyle. We also eat a little cooked foods (especially on weekends with friends/family) in which case we take plenty of digestive enzymes to ensure great digestion/absorption. We use supplements like B vitamins and especially B12 since not ingesting meat, dairy nor much grains. We do eat fish and eggs on occasion. Michael owns 4 Star Gym in El Segundo and is happy that some of his clients are switching to a more plant-based diet successfully! Watching their weight go down and higher energy is so great. Wishing you continued success!
