Hi Rosemary. I just now saw your question. Leaky gut causes an incredible amount of stress in the body. If you're having digestive issues (such as diarrhea, constipation, etc.) this will affect your hormone levels as your body demands more cortisol to deal with the stressor. Your body's defense mechanism will try to produce more cortisol by "stealing" hormones from other sources (mainly pregnenolone which is responsible for the production of all reproductive hormones). This causes hormonal imbalances and that in turn, may be a cause for infertility.

Hi Shadi, thanks for writing.

It's two separate processes. You cook the quinoa first with water. Once quinoa is completely cooked (which takes about 20 minutes), then you can add the other ingredients and serve. :) If you want, you can prepare the quinoa the night before, refrigerate and then the next day warm it up with a bit of almond or coconut milk and add the toppings of your choice. What I love about it is that it's quick and yummy.

I would like to try this but I'm a little confused with the recipe. Where you list the items under "for the breakfast", do you add those while the quinoa is cooking? then add more of the same ingredients? It's somewhat unclear to me.

Hi. I just found your blog through a Google search and I wanted to say how amazing you looked in your photos. I'm obese and have always felt this pull to do a bikini competition. I didn't think that it was even possible since I'm so big, but you gave me hope. Thanks!!! You're fantastic!

In reply to <a href="https://vitalitydetective.com/baked-banana-bread-oatmeal/#comment-126">cooking chef</a>.

Hi Cooking Chef! Thanks for visiting my website :) For my recipe it takes so little time in a conventional oven (although it's an oatmeal breakfast recipe), that I would imagine it takes very little time to cook in the microwave. If I can suggest something, try cooking it at 5 minute intervals and see how long it takes? Let me know too if you don't mind :)
